Ukrainian hryvnia
At our exchange office, we offer exchange (purchase and sale) at an attractive Ukrainian hryvnia exchange rate and the possibility of exchanging it for another currency at the current exchange rate, the quotations are presented in the table above - the website also includes banknotes currently in circulation, and there are as many as 96, we would like to point out that there are currently five different banknote designs in circulation in Ukraine and we have tried to present them to you on our website:
- Old banknotes issued from 1992-1994
They are characterized by a typical post-Soviet design with a central figure and denominations range from 1 to 100, although it is worth noting that they are now rare,
- Newer banknotes issued 1994-1997
They still refer to the same post-Soviet design, but the figure (portrait) is placed on the side of the banknote - denominations range from 1 to 20, but are gradually disappearing from general circulation.
- New banknotes issued: 2000-2001
They bring slight changes in design, mainly in the arrangement of inscriptions, denominations are 2, 20 and 200.
- New banknotes issued: 2003-2006
Here you can see the modern design and changes in the image of the figure representing a given denomination - you can notice a more uniform color scheme of individual denominations, which range from 1 to 100.
- New banknotes (issue dates from 2006):
They have a completely changed design and in 2007 denominations of 200 and 500 were introduced.
- New banknotes (issue dates from 2019):
Modern design - the denomination of 1000 was introduced.
It is worth noting that both new and old banknotes are treated equally by banks and sellers, which means that all of them are fully legal tender. The situation in Ukraine resulted in a sharp decline in the value of the Ukrainian currency. Analysts unanimously maintain that the prospects for strengthening this currency depend not only on the end of the armed conflict but also on the stabilization of the local economy, which is limping, and on the healthy state of the global economy. It is worth noting that the Ukrainian hryvnia exchange rate has managed to recover from a severe low in recent years, but the war caused a drastic drop in value.
